The remake of Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire is based on the classic Sierra game where you take on the role of a hero on a dangerous new adventure. Before starting the game, players must choose between being a warrior, mage, or thief, each with a unique style of approaching challenges. The game progresses in 30-day intervals in 'real time', with key events in the storyline happening on specific days. This structure keeps the open-world game's narrative moving forward in a linear fashion. Compared to the original 1990 version, the graphics in this remake are enhanced and on par with later games in the series. So far, Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire is the only title to undergo this upgrade. As an adventure/RPG mix, the game remains a compelling option for fans to experience at least once due to its updated visuals and engaging gameplay.
